A one-shot inpainting algorithm based on the topological asymptotic analysis

چکیده
The aim of this article is to propose a new method for the inpainting problem. Inpainting is the problem of filling-in holes in images. We consider in this article the crack localization problem, which can be solved using the Dirichlet to Neumann approach and the topological gradient. In a similar way, we can define a Dirichlet and a Neumann inpainting problem. We then define a cost function measuring the discrepancy between the two corresponding solutions. The minimization is done using the topological asymptotic analysis, and is performed in only one iteration. The optimal solution provides the best localization of the missing edges, and it is then easy to inpaint the holes.

One shot images processing by topological asymptotic expansion
The aim of this article is to review the applications of the topological asymptotic expansion to all major image processing problems. We first briefly expose the topological asymptotic analysis, and then present its historical application to the crack localization problem, which can be solved using the Dirichlet to Neumann approach. A very natural application in image processing is the inpainti...
متن کاملContour Detection and Completion for Inpainting and Segmentation Based on Topological Gradient and Fast Marching Algorithms
We combine in this paper the topological gradient, which is a powerful method for edge detection in image processing, and a variant of the minimal path method in order to find connected contours. The topological gradient provides a more global analysis of the image than the standard gradient and identifies the main edges of an image. Several image processing problems (e.g., inpainting and segme...

متن کاملفشردهسازی تصویر با کمک حذف و کدگذاری هوشمندانه اطلاعات تصویر و بازسازی آن با استفاده از الگوریتم های ترمیم تصویر
Compression can be done by lossy or lossless methods. The lossy methods have been used more widely than the lossless compression. Although, many methods for image compression have been proposed yet, the methods using intelligent skipping proper to the visual models has not been considered in the literature. Image inpainting refers to the application of sophisticated algorithms to replace lost o...
متن کاملQSRR Study of Organic Dyes by Multiple Linear Regression Method Based on Genetic Algorithm (GA–MLR
Quantitative structure-retention relationships (QSRRs) are used to correlate paper chromatographic retention factors of disperse dyes with theoretical molecular descriptors. A data set of 23 compounds with known RF values was used. The genetic algorithm-multiple linear regression analysis (GA-MLR) with three selected theoretical descriptors was obtained. The stability and predictability of the ...
